In todays post, we will be throwing it back to a design that was created long ago but, what I feel was a very successful and helpful design. In 1899 "Leonard C. Bailey took out a patent for making the first “Folding bed”." The bed was capable of being folded closed to act as a couch and to open up space in tight areas. Growing up, my family had one of these and it came in handy so many times. It was placed in our den room and when guests would stay over they would be allowed to sleep on it. I believe pullout beds benefitted hotels most, because they allowed the hotels with tight rooms to make the most out of their space.
